Gastritis and stomach polyps are problems involving a persons digestive health. Gastritis has many causes but usually is not serious and improves with treatment. Stomach polyps are most often found while looking at other problems. According to the Mayo Clinic, stomach polyps are rare. They only occur in one percent of people undergoing an endoscopy.

    Gastritis is when the stomach lining is inflamed. Some causes are infection, pain reliever use and alcohol consumption.

    People who have stomach polyps may experience abdominal pain, bleeding, nausea, vomiting and feeling full quickly after eating. Diagnosis is made during an endoscopy, where a lighted tube allows a doctor to look at the esophagus and stomach.

Treatment

    Treatment options for polyps include surgically removing them if theres a concern that it may become cancerous. Also, there a medications that can be used if bacteria is the cause.
